Course Format
This course includes 6 hours of synchronous instruction over the course of four 1.5 hour sessions. There is also asynchronous work, including weekly readings and a final project.

Cohorts
Participants working towards certification will join with others in a monthly cohort, led by an experienced facilitator. These 1 hour gatherings will provide guided reflection on current ministry as well as time for prayer and support.
Course Description
The Ministry Planning and Administration course is designed to equip ministry leaders with tools and best practices for organizing people, schedules, projects, budgets, communications, and content. Options for churches of varied budgets and sizes will be shared.
Participants in this interactive course will create processes for leadership recruitment and visitor follow up. They will draft budgets, ministry calendars, and project plans. Participants will evaluate communications tools and begin organizing digital content for use in their specific ministry context.
Rev. Christine V. Hides
The Rev. Christine V. Hides is the Associate Minister for Discipleship at Kenilworth Union Church, and author of the faith formation website, ChristineVHides.com. She holds a B.S. in Social Policy and a M.S.Ed from Northwestern University and a graduate theological studies certificate from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary. Christine has 25 years of experience teaching children, youth and adults. As an ordained deacon in the United Methodist Church, she is called to create faith-forming experiences that nurture imagination and inspire participation in God’s peace and justice. She has two daughters in college and lives with her husband in a northern suburb of Chicago, where they enjoy the abundance of forest preserves.
